On the 17^th May 2014, Carnivore and Pangolin Conservation Program received 18 Common palm civets (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) from wildlife farmer Mr. Ma Tien Cha at  Hiep Thach commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province. Animals were expected to make Civet Coffee but it was unsuccessful. The farmer has donated all of the civets to CPCP voluntarily for their rescue and rehabilitation. After two months of care and health checks by the doctors from the Wildlife Conservation Association (WCS), 7 animals were released into the primary forest of Cuc Phuong National Park.

The remainders are being treated positively and will be released into Cuc Phuong National Park in the near future. CPCP expects to carry out post monitoring by Radio Tracking to check for their survival.

Also during this time the program had released two Leopard cats (Prionailurus bengalensis) into Cuc Phuong National Park.
