Received Vietnamese Pond Turtle From Europe

Under the agreement of Vietnamese Government, on 19th August 2013 Cuc Phuong has welcomed home 71 endemic Vietnamese Pond Turtle after a long journey from Europe, where two zoos have been breeding the critically endangered species.

The Rooterdam Zoo in the Netherlands and Munster Zoo in Gemany have partnered with Cuc Phuong national Park to bring the turtles home. These turtles will be well take cared at Cuc Phuong Turtle Conservation Center in oder to preserve the genes of rare wildlife at Cuc Phuong and in the world.
