Cuc Phuong native Keeled box turtle (Cuora mouhotii) transferred to TCC

On the 27th Mar 2014 during the annual Tortoise and Freshwater Turtle Field Skill Training Course held in Cuc Phuong National Park, some students discovered 4 Keeled box turtles (Cuora mouhotii) while conducting an interview survey practical in SAM2 village in Cuc Phuong. After receiving this news, TCC manager Do Thanh Hao visited the local man to convince him to transfer the turtles to the TCC with a chance to be released in Cuc Phuong National Park again. He also informed the man that turtles are difficult to keep in captivity and should not be kept as pets. The local agreed to transfer all the turtles to the TCC.
